Nifty Site of the Night - The Mercury Men

THE RETURN OF THE CLASSIC CLIFFHANGER SERIAL!

Wow! Now we are talking. I was just doing a little late night surfing, eternally searching for a fool proof way to watch Hulu outside the US on a system running Windows Vista 64 bit, when I stumbled across The Mercury Men.

Forget about Hulu. Watch the trailer for The Mercury Men:

Pretty cool, no? I'll admit, the acting doesn't look perfect, but the production value looks fantastic. The guys behind this upcoming episodic web serial definitely have a clear idea of the style and genre they are shooting for - 1950's cliffhangers.

The folks at The Mercury Men are covering all their online and social media bases too with iTUNES, RSS, Twitter and Facebook. The only thing I really see missing is a date indicating when the first episode is going to go live. I want to see it as soon as it's available. I suppose I'll have to subscribe to one of their feeds in order to get the information as soon as it drops.

Smart.

I'm really loving the look of the future of television and I'm excited about the adventure we're embarking on in order to get there.

You're just the go to guy for cool stuff, Mike! Bookmarked this - look's fun (if a bit like Mystery Science Theater fodder- but in a good way...)

Dunno if you saw today's blog post. Running another giveaway - this time for one of my original 1/2 naked chicks ;D

As an owner of the original Flash Gordon and Dick Tracy serials from back in the day, I am loving the return of the "cliffhanger serials"! I'm also loving that poster... I can't wait to see these.
