Timber Lantern - bad idea

I'm about to slit my wrists. It's Friday. I love Friday. I was lovin' Friday. But then this news came over the net. Apparently Justin Timberlake has performed a screen test for the roll of Hal Jordan/Green Lantern in the DC Comics based, space opera movie, Green Lantern.

Someone please pinch me, wake me up and tell me this is all just a bad dream, a nightmare or even a Blackest Night spoof. Justin Timberlake? What? No way!

Alright, he was pretty okay in the fine film that was Alpha Dog, but gimme a break. He will NOT do the roll of Hal Jordan any justice at all. I probably wouldn't mind him as another member of the Green Lantern Corp, but not our lead hero in shining green.

Are there any other comic nerds out there with an opinion?

Don't worry I'm sure he won't get it, there has to be one sane person out there not willing to let him ruin this movie. Don't get me wrong i normally love hot guys playing in comic book movies but just not him lol.
While I'm talking to someone who knows comics do you know if they are still going to make Justice League Mortal?

I guess we are saved for another day. Apparently Ryan Reynolds got the part which is good because it saves us from a Deadpool movie. Maybe he can pull it off. Now we can only hope for someone great as Sinestro for him to play off.

dunno...if you really think about it JT might have been a good choice...if your making a summer block buster...putting a person like JT would equal wider audiance and more bucks for the studio
